Spay and Neuter Resources

Paws4ever is here to support all pet owners. Spaying and/or neutering your pet is a responsibility that benefits not only your pet, but pet owners in your community as well.

Spay and Neuter Resources

Spaying and neutering your dogs and cats are vital steps in ensuring both their personal wellbeing and the health of the wider community. For your pets, these procedures help prevent various health problems, while also reducing the risk of behavioral issues such as aggression or territorial marking. Additionally, spaying and neutering contribute to a longer, healthier life by reducing the likelihood of unplanned pregnancies and the associated health risks.

On a community level, spaying and neutering play a crucial role in controlling pet overpopulation. Each year, millions of animals are abandoned or enter shelters, overwhelming resources and contributing to the homelessness of countless animals. By making the responsible choice to spay or neuter your pets, you help reduce the number of unwanted animals and support the overall wellbeing of both pets and people in your community. It’s a simple yet powerful way to show compassion and contribute to a sustainable and compassionate society for all animals.

These spay and neuter guides are is intended as references to help community members easily access information about low-cost spay and neuter options in this area. *Definition of a feral cat:

A feral or community cat is an unowned, free-roaming cat that lives outdoors. Some community cats may be friendly and open to human contact, while feral cats are not socialized to people and will not be comfortable with any human contact. Please use your own discretion when approaching feral/community cats.

**Paws4ever does not offer in-house veterinary services on our campus. We partner with a number of local veterinarians for the treatment of our adoptable pets.
