On Saturday, April 2nd, we celebrated pets and raised money to save animals at our “A Toast to Pets!” Brunch at the NC Botanical Gardens. The event included a presentation from Cat Warren, bestselling author of What the Dog Knows: Scent, Science, and the Amazing Ways Dogs Perceive the World. Cat shared research about dogs’ scent detecting abilities, as well as her own experience training her dog for human remains detection.
We also had a surprise visitor, Fletcher, a Paws4ever shelter dog. It is our absolute joy to share the update that Fletcher has been adopted!

The funds raised at “A Toast to Pets!” Brunch will rescue animals from local county shelters and provide them with quality care in our Adoption Center for as long as it takes to find their forever homes.
